Watercolor Red Poppies

This is a painting of some poppies I did about a week ago. I wanted to paint something a little more abstract. This painting was so much fun to do! I just had my 4 wisdom teeth pulled 4 days ago and I am still feelin' loopy :) but I hope to be back to my painting again soon!

The original 8x10 of this painting is available here

Breaking the rules of watercolor

I love this youtube video. It's very inspiring, especially if you're having artist's block!

Cat in the box!

Everytime I go to scan a painting I take my scanner out of the closet. My kitty cat Pudden's favorite thing to do is jump in and play in the scanner box. It has now become a tradition! The only problem is she gets hair all over the box and it gets on my scanner. So I'm always redoing scans since there was hair on the glass. But she is so cute that I don't mind, it's our funny little moment together when it comes to my painting. She is a little character :)

Watercolor Rooster "He Can Crow"

I have been wanting to paint a rooster for the longest time and now I finally got to! This painting is titled "He Can Crow" but for my own enjoyment I named the rooster Pan after the very famous Peter Pan. This painting was done on arches 140lb cold pressed watercolor paper. The original 8X10 painting is for sale on my etsy website here for $30.

Watercolor Blue Bird

I adore painting birds. With spring in the air and the birds in my garden happily singing away, I was inspired to paint this fluffy little blue bird. I wonder if she really is fluffy or she just ate too many blueberries? Either way she is a cutie! The original is for sale on my etsy shop here

Watercolor Rabbit Painting

I was shopping at a local little drug store when I saw a stuffed rabbit wearing an Easter bonnet. I thought "How Cute" and decided I would do my own take on it. So this cute little bunny is what I came up with. The original is for sale on my etsy shop here. 10% of the proceeds will be going to Kindness Ranch a rescue that gives a permanent home to former research animals.
