Sweet Mourning Dove

A pair of doves made their nest in a pine tree in my garden this year. I have been watching their little ones grow all summer with much joy. I love the softness of the dove. I hope I captured their innocence in this painting. https://www.etsy.com/listing/107070013/watercolor-bird-art-dove-bird-painting

Watercolor Quail Painting

I can never stay away from painting birds for too long. I always try to paint other subjects but they are just so inspirational to me. Quails are such unique and beautiful birds, the feathers on their heads are almost comical. This painting is for sale here

Watercolor Seahorse Painting

I can't get enough of painting these fun little fish. It's amazing to think that they are even fish, they are so different from all the other water life. Seahorses truly are the most darling creatures. This painting is titled "Hold Your Seahorses!" Buy here!

Cheetah Art and Folklore

African folklore says that the cheetah got her black streaks when a lazy hunter stole her three cubs to train them to hunt for him. A bird that had seen what happened told the village's wise elder what the hunter had done and the wise elder had the cubs returned to their mother, but because the cheetah had cried so hard for so long her face was stained from her tears. Ever since then every baby cheetah has been born with these black tear stains.

Watercolor Ladybug (Fly away home)

Do you guys remember that song "Ladybug ladybug fly away home....) I used to go around signing that song constantly! I also remember someone once told me that the black dots on a ladybug will tell you how old she is! This painting is for sale here!

Pansy Watercolor Flower

I remember being a little girl and watching Disney's Alice In Wonderland. My favorite talking flower was the pansy. It's amazing how they do actually look like they have little faces! This painting is for sale here
